Koç Holding Named COP31’s “Global Business Partner”
Koç Holding has been named a “Global Business Partner” of COP31, which will be held in Antalya from Nov. 9 to 20.
According to a statement from Koç Holding, Ali Koç, deputy chairman of the Koç Holding Board of Directors, and Levent Çakıroğlu, CEO of Koç Holding, met with Murat Kurum, Türkiye’s minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and COP31 President-Designate, to discuss the COP31 agenda.
The meeting focused on the work Koç Holding will undertake as a COP31 “Global Business Partner” and the company’s contributions to the conference in the areas of sustainability, technology and innovation.
In comments on the partnership, Kurum said they placed importance on the private sector’s contribution to COP31 and on partnerships with businesses. He said he and Koç had also discussed what they could accomplish together as part of the process.
Koç said Koç Group was proud and pleased to make a strong contribution to Türkiye’s representation at COP31 as the company entered the second century of the Koç Group’s history.
Ali Koç added that they viewed Türkiye’s hosting of COP31 as a historic opportunity to demonstrate to the world the country’s determination to achieve its climate goals and its competitiveness in the green transition.

According to Koç Holding’s statement, as part of the partnership, Koç Holding and its subsidiaries will be among COP31’s main partners. This will give the holding company and its group companies an opportunity to share with national and international stakeholders their experience in turning climate solutions into concrete business outcomes in line with their goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050.
COP31 Presidency had previously announced the International Energy Agency as a “COP31 Strategic Partner,” the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye as a “COP31 Business Envoy,” the Banks Association of Türkiye as its “Financial Sector Partner,” and Garanti BBVA and BBVA as “COP31 Global Banking Partners.”
