Elin Enerji Signs Partnership Agreement for Inverter Production

Elin Enerji plans to begin operations at a new factory in Ankara in the final quarter of this year.

Elin Enerji, one of Türkiye’s leading solar energy manufacturers, said it had formed a partnership with Sungrow, one of the world’s largest inverter producers, to manufacture inverters in Türkiye.

Under the agreement, the two companies signed a cooperation protocol at the Intersolar 2026 trade fair in Munich.

The protocol covers the production of Elin Enerji-branded inverters at a factory to be established by the company in Ankara.

According to Elin Enerji, construction of the plant is expected to be completed in the final quarter of 2026, with the first shipments scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

The factory will begin production with an annual capacity of 2.8 Gigawatts, which is expected to rise to 4.2 Gigawatts at a later stage.

The plant will manufacture 1,100-kilowatt, 3,300-kilowatt and 4,400-kilowatt modular central inverters for utility-scale solar projects, particularly those developed under Türkiye’s Renewable Energy Resource Zone program, known as YEKA, as well as energy storage projects.

Arda Yalı, chairman of Elin Enerji, said the partnership formed part of a broader strategy extending beyond the Turkish market. Mr. Yalı states the following:
