The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, or AIIB, has provided South Korea-based Great Rich Technology Co. Ltd., or GRT, with a Chinese yuan-denominated loan equivalent to $75 million for a factory the company plans to build in Kırklareli.

According to the bank, the facility will be GRT’s first investment outside South Korea and will produce energy-saving window films, materials designed to absorb carbon dioxide and volatile organic compounds, and paint protection films.

GRT Director Jiangzhe Xiang said the facility in Türkiye represented the company’s strategic shift “from serving global markets through local bases to providing local delivery through regional production,” adding that the investment would position Türkiye as a strategic hub for the company.

Xiang also said the model was being implemented outside South Korea for the first time in Türkiye, allowing the company to respond more quickly to international markets and extend its geographic reach.
