Rönesans Enerji Signs Financing Deal With ICBC

The company secured $40 million in financing from the Chinese bank

Rönesans Enerji has signed a $40 million financing agreement with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, or ICBC, the company announced.

The financing will be used for Rönesans Enerji’s existing and planned renewable-energy investments. The company said the agreement would bring the total financing it has secured from 10 financial institutions over the past three years to about $600 million.

Rönesans Enerji currently has 577 Megawatts of power-generation capacity, all of it from renewable-energy sources. The company is also continuing construction of power plants with a combined capacity of 126 Megawatts and has 680 Megawatts of projects at the development stage.

Rönesans Enerji is jointly owned by Rönesans Holding and the French energy company TotalEnergies, with each holding a 50 percent stake. The partnership was established in 2023, when TotalEnergies acquired half of Rönesans Enerji.
