Gülermak Expands European Renewable-Energy Portfolio Beyond 400 Megawatts

Gülermak Renewables has acquired a new solar-energy project in Poland, the company announced.

The 69-Megawatt Powidz 2 project is located in the Wielkopolska region of western Poland, adjacent to Gülermak’s existing 5-megawatt Powidz 1 solar project.

The project has secured all necessary permits and is ready to move into construction. Gülermak plans to begin the engineering, procurement and construction, or EPC, tender process soon.

Construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027, with electricity generation scheduled to start in 2029.

Last month, Gülermak Renewables acquired the Project Vistula portfolio, which includes the Powidz 1 project and comprises 62.7 Megawatts of solar capacity in total, for £30.4 million.

With the latest acquisition, the company’s European portfolio has grown to more than 400 Megawatts.
