Aksa Enerji and Goldwind Sign Second Turbine Supply Agreement

Aksa Enerji and Goldwind have signed their second turbine supply agreement in eight months.

According to statements from the companies, Goldwind will supply 11 GWH182-8.0MW turbines, each with a capacity of 8 Megawatts, for the Manisa battery-storage wind power plant to be developed by Aksa Yenilenebilir Enerji Üretim A.Ş., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aksa Enerji.

Aksa Enerji and Goldwind also signed an agreement in December last year for the supply of 14 turbines of the same model for the Mersin battery-storage wind power plant.

Aksa Enerji’s Mersin project will have an installed capacity of 100.08 Megawatts, while the Manisa project will have an installed capacity of 88 Megawatts.

Goldwind said the latest agreement brings the number of its “medium-speed permanent magnet” turbines supplied to the Turkish market to more than 150, with their combined capacity approaching 1 Gigawatt.
